Self-Hypnosis Tips

Self hypnosis is defined as the naturally occurring state of the mind where there is a heightened state of concentration allowing for external suggestions to be absorbed by the individual. Once the individual has awakened from the trance state, the suggestion would be incorporated into the mind which in turn would become behavior of the individual.

While many opt for hypnotists to perform the task of putting the individual into a trance like state, this state can be achieved through simple exercises. Following are some steps in order to perfect the art of self hypnosis.

  • Find a quiet room. You need to find a quiet room without distractions. It is best that one sits down rather than lie down, as the latter would make one fall asleep.
  • Relax your mind. This may be much more difficult to do. You need to get rid of clutter in your mind, such as fear, stress or anxiety that can affect your concentration. This may be as simple as stopping your mind from thinking but actively stopping would only stress yourself much more.
  • Tension checking. This requires imagination from your end. You need to start removing the tension from the tip of your toes slowly vanishing and being removed from each part of the body. Slowly with each part of your body moving upwards, you remove the tension using your imagination. Tension checking. This requires imagination from your end. You need to start removing the tension from the tip of your toes slowly vanishing and being removed from each part of the body. This is called tension cleansing and after you reached your head you check how relaxed you have become when the tension has been removed.
  • Breathing Exercises. This is important as inhale, you breathe in positive energy and when you exhale, you breathe out the tension and negativity from within.
  • Open mindedness. Once you have reached this trance like state, your mind is now open to the purpose at hand. Even if you are completely relaxed, you are still in control and you can then program your mind to do what you want to do.

As can be seen, you can hypnotize yourself to do great and immense things for yourself. You can do this one step at a time and doing self hypnosis is also one way of preparing your mind for success.
